Two regulations with different roles

Act No. 250/2021 Sb. provides the Czech occupational safety framework for designated technical equipment. Government Regulation No. 192/2022 Sb. deals with designated pressure equipment and its safety. Start with the current wording in e-Sbírka rather than an undated copy.

Record the regulation, provision and source-check date alongside each topic. Check effective dates and amendments when comparing materials. This article is not a complete compliance checklist for a particular boiler room.

A certificate is not an app score

TIČR states that a professional competence certificate is valid for five years from issue. Since 2022 it issues certificates for boiler operation; the older Czech term “topičský průkaz” is now colloquial. Check your own document's scope and validity.

Passing a Kotelna test or completing lessons does not grant such a certificate. The app does not establish eligibility, conduct official examinations or have an affiliation with TIČR.

Distinguish regulations, standards and documentation

A legal act, technical standard, manufacturer manual and local operating documentation have different roles. A short test answer cannot replace them. Trace a question to its source and to the actual equipment.

Do not adopt a universal inspection interval or start-up procedure from the internet. Applicability depends on equipment and relevant rules; ask a competent professional to resolve uncertainties.

Check before submitting an application

Confirm the requested scope, application instructions, supporting documents and examination conditions directly with TIČR. If an old course conflicts with a current source, do not simply choose the easier requirement.

This overview is not a legal assessment of your operation. It concerns Czechia: Czech rules do not automatically apply in Slovakia, Ukraine or another country.
